Good guitar learning dvd to buy?
I wanna become a better player, I'm thinking about rock discipline with pettrcui, and guitar 411 by Doug Doppler. I don't want to tune up to standard tuning though to do the video really, I guess if I have to I will... but it's just a suggestion. What would you suggest.

Just start playing anything that requires two fingers to make a chord.

Rock Discipline is really good, the Paul Gilbert instructional DVDs are pretty decent too.

I agree with you. Make fun of him when he deserves it(which is often), not when he's asking a serious question. Mave did come in and act like an ass, why not rip on him instead?

Like Petrucci or not, Rock Discipline is THE book for technique. If you go through it, you will become a better player. It's not the end all be all, as it's short on implementation, but it will improve your technical ability.

Also, don't rush through it, be patient. You've got plenty of time, and if you rush, you will hurt yourself. |
