Eff. I just purchased a MS200R off a deceptive guy on ebay. He said it "works 100%" and doesn't. The machine boots up fine and seems to route all the parameters properly but.... NO SOUND! I did some resets on the op system and all of the usual sound diagnostic tests...AND STILL EFFED.

I'm getting error message-----------MPUtoDSP check Error.

Does ANYONE know how to remedy this?
Do I need to put this thing in the junk?

New to eBay?

Contact the seller and demand a refund.

If that doesn't work, use negative feedback and file a complaint through eBay and/or PayPal.

If you're mechanically/electronically inclined you could pop it open and check for loose connections. It's possible that something got knocked loose during shipping.

Otherwise, contact the seller and/or eBay.

I opened it up and checked/cleaned all of the connections.

not really new.

i feel like i knew something was wrong but... i was willing to accept his "no refunds" disclaimer.
even though he claimed it was working 100%.
it puts me in a crappy quandary.
the guy obviously does not play music.

There's a lot of criminals on eBay. If you knowingly sell a product that's damaged, and cover your ass with "no refunds" or "as-is," then you're a worthless eBay member as far as I'm concerned.

I've gotten screwed over many times by this kind of bullshit, and it's starting to get to that point where I don't even want to do business on there anymore.

Hell, the guy could have dragged the unit into any music store and they probably would have hooked it up for him to see if it worked. Even if he knew nothing about the unit, there should have been no problem testing it. So that leaves two situations.

1. He was too lazy to test his own merchandise, and put it on eBay anyway, which is completely irresponsible.

2. He knew that it was broken, and he put it on eBay anyway, and he's a bastard for doing so.

Sorry for the rant, but eBay's really pissin' me off lately.
