Upload the image on photobucket.com, and it will give you a link for a thumbnail, address of quote, or image itself. Copy the image URL and paste it directly in your post, and it will show up as the picture in the thread.

That's how I was able to view it, also, by clicking the red 'X', and going to properties, etc....

I'm in the same boat as you, BBdrums.....somewhat computer illiterate!!!...I have to admit, my 13 yr. old daughter masters this thing, much better than I!!

And as theDW mentioned, about the work he did on the finish product....I tried the re-sizing thing...only to get a pic way too small, or if larger, a very distorted image

When I saw what he posted on my it, I almost got teary-eyed, as if seeing my kit for the first time!!!

i tried that...didn't work...total size of my file was like....126,000...or sumthing like that

the biggest this Hc attach method would allow, is 100,000

then, theDW stepped in for me!!!

My next project will be to locate a freeware photo editing program and test it. If it passes muster, I'll let you all know where to download it from.

I'll have to wait until I get home though.

Don't fret BB. You are now going through the exact same thing I went through the last time a "post pics of your kit" thread went up. It's all gravy now.

Check out a program called THE GIMP. Originally a linux-only application. Very powerful, lots of features. On par with about photoshop 6.

Well, the image is kinda small but, here's mine.
Premier Genista, 22, 10, 12, 14. Not even sure which snare I've got there. Cymbals are 2002 crashes, Paiste dry ride (all stolen a while back), Zildjian Constantinople left-hand ride. Sabian 13" fusion hi-hats. And you may be able to make out a Korg rhythm sampler and a cello bow off to the far left.

for image conversion and resizing etc... I use Irfanview. a windows app. free, quick and useful. way easier to use than GIMP (GIMP's a good one, though.)

Yeah, the learning curve on the GIMP is a little steep, and you have to install GTK framework in order to run it.

I want to find a freeware program that will resize, convert, and have a few image enhancement features.

Don't know if I'll be successful, though.

On a side note: My gout flared up today. Left foot. Life's a bitch sometimes!

The GIMP meets all of these criteria, but there are some issues regarding ease-of-use.

Why thank you. Did you have any other angles of your kit? And is it green? The stage lights are sometimes deceiving.
