That is simply a way of keeping people controlled or diverted from thinking/feeling for themselves. Or maybe it was/is marketing to an easy demographic of the masses who actually don't want to think for themselves. Then it turns around and looks real to newer generations, it's all they know and they are told with such authority(force fed i mean).
Science, when it's unimpeded by politics and money, has an actual method (aptly named "the scientific method", which seeks to discover the truth. In essence, science is an effort to determine the truth. Of course, scientific conclusions have been wrong before, but that doesn't negate its quest for the truth. There are some things that, it would seem, science does not yet have an answer for, or cannot measure or quantify or predict, and these are some of its admitted shortcomings.

Einstein said:
Quote:
“Not everything that counts can be counted,
And not everything that can be counted counts.”
He also said:
Quote:
“Imagination is more important than knowledge.”
These two statements indicate that he knew that even though his great mind helped open up a brand new window into our world view, he still held a reverence to the mystery of all that he did not know.

It always amazes me that those great minds that uncover most or our new scientific discoveries are very aware that all they have found is the tip of something so much bigger than what they now know. While those who come after them take the tip and declare it the truth often not even understanding that there is a much bigger truth attached to that principle they can’t as yet comprehend.

It is like great spiritual leaders who spawn great religions, yet most of those claiming to be their followers don’t really practice what those leaders taught in their daily lives.

Science is a beginning of finding truth, but most of that truth still evades us. Great minds like Einstein’s understood this.

Because of this thread, I came upon some entertaining reading of a speculative nature.

The Asvin (Atlantis) civilization - its origins, rivalry with the Rama Empire, etc:

The Kerguelen primate civilization (which in this story still exists, monitoring us at a distance):

If he could do some more editing and organization, he could have some decent selling scifi books on his hands.

That's duly noted. When I view any of this information, I usually do it with a heavy dose of skepticism. Too many people with too many agendas.

I'll see if I can hunt it up on google earth, since you mentioned it. I never went any farther than the articles presented in this thread. I just thought it was any interesting addition to the thread.

Thanks for the info, though. It nice to see when people go beyond the surface instead of taking things at face value.

Lost Mayan City of Mirador - largest pyramid yet discovered and they estimate there are thousands more hidden in the jungles of South America. Very cool CNN report.

They've also found an intact version of the Mayan creation story that predates the Spanish arrival, which is significant because scientists assume that the history got co-mingled.

In the image above, look at the picture that is second up from the bottom on the left, it has two divers in it. If you see a larger version of this picture, you can see that it is a giant carved face. There's an eye that you can see by the head of the diver on the right, and the most noticeable thing is the lines coming from the top of the face that make a headdress. See the short lines that point up from the face and the longer lines that curve in a concave fashion to the right. You can also see the mouth line coming from the hip of the diver on the left.

And another picture one up and one to the right of that one shows a face carving again (I'm not sure if it's the same one at a different angle or not).

Angles, shmangles. There are fancy faces carved down there! No one's going to make me believe those were naturally formed.

There is nothing funnier to me than people who need "science" to bless and approve something before they can see what is right before their eyes.

I've been following the Yonaguni monument for some time. While I happen to believe they are natural, I am fascinated by some of the research on submerged cities just off the coast of India. At any rate.... lots of interesting things out there.

Since I was a child staring up at the sky, many years ago, I have believed that we are not the only thing happening in this Universe. Far from it.

The more we learn/know, the more we learn that we know nothing.

Quantized vortices from Andromeda and Triangulum galaxies show signs of very advanced extraterrestrial civilization

http://www.indiadaily.com/editorial/21130.asp

Quote:
Scientists are finding first signs of computationally verifiable prove of the existence of very advanced extraterrestrial civilization. It is a dark matter civilization, extremely advanced based on Bose-Einstein condensate of astronomical extent.

The Andromeda Galaxy is a spiral galaxy approximately 2,500,000 light-years away in the constellation Andromeda. Andromeda Galaxy has satellite galaxies, consisting of 14 known dwarf galaxies. The satellite galaxies are M32 and M110.

The Triangulum Galaxy is a spiral galaxy approximately 3 million light-years away in the constellation Triangulum. With the Andromeda Galaxy, it's one of the two nearest large spiral galaxies comparable to the Milky Way. Since it's so close, we can get a nice panoramic view.

Scientists have found that dark matter arising from spontaneous symmetry breaking of a neutral scalar field coupled to gravity comprises ultra low mass bosons with a Bose-Einstein condensation temperature far above the present background temperature.

The galactic halos consist of a Bose-Einstein condensate of astronomical extent. Based on this, scientists have calculated the condensate coherence length, transition temperatures, mass distribution, and orbital velocity curves, and deduced the particle mass and number density from the observed rotation curves for the Andromeda and Triangulum galaxies. Advanced research projects find the possibility of superfluid behaviour in the halos of rotating galaxies. The computational estimates of the critical angular frequency and line density for formation of quantised vortices show signs of activities of a very advanced extraterrestrial civilization.

The extraterrestrial civilization can control intergalactic interactions, star formation, and black hole-wormhole interactions.

What science thinks it knows about life, man, and who we are, is but a drop of water in the sea that covers Yonaguni.
