Go to a jazz or classical music school and you will start to understand why there are beginners and advanced levels. If Muse are considered musicians then how we should consider Eric Johnson, Steve Morse, Jimi Hendrix, Malmsteen, Steve Vai, Steve Ray Vaughan?
Muse U2 or Radiohead are just a trend for teenagers, can you imagine yourself still listening to that crap when you will be 50 years old? No way, you will probably be listening to Mozart, Bach, Queen or Kansas.
He's talking songs. You're talking more along the lines of virtuosity. Aside from Hendrix, 99% of people would choose the song.

Well, some people would scoff at some of that stuff, others would agree, etc.. It's music; it's subjective.

Matthew Bellamy picked up the piano when he was a pre-teen, got bored of it and picked up the guitar. He didn't really start playing the piano again until before they were going to record their first album, and even then he had no proper training... Then he goes and does things like this, this, and this. All this with little knowledge of the technical side of piano playing. If that doesn't reek of prodigy, I don't know what does...

plus, he plays the guitar like it's his bitch...

Yeah really. Some unamed poster probably put his tail between his legs and hid from this thread now that he just got shown a sample of how good Matt Bellamy is when he was trying to write him off as a guy that didn't know his way around an instrument. What a noob.

here with another video that proves he is a badass, hunched in the fetal position after falling over a fucking 4X12, he still manages to play one hell of a solo. I'm sure many of todays top artists would stop the show after that.

Not to knock on the guy, but continuing to play after falling over is not exactly revolutionary.

And he obviously wasn't that hurt considering how he was leaping around... only an extreme pussy would have "stopped the show" just because they fell over, if they weren't injured.

Anyway I don't really care about Muse, if you're into them cool.
