Redemption Road - Work In Progress!
Hi,
One I'm working on at the minute. Just lyrics haven't got around to recording anything. Kinda stuck, it came along pretty quickly as it is but I can't decide; does it need another verse, or a bridge, would the third verse work as a bridge, does it work? Your thoughts/suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks. Redemption Road Lookin’ for Redemption Road Can I ask you please Lost the thread, the path , the way A little direction’s what I need Tryin’ to find that peace of mind There’s a weight upon my soul If I could lay this baggage down If I could only let it go It’s the punches you don’t expect From a friend or in the dark They’re the ones that bruise the skin They’re the one’s that leave their mark So I’m lookin’ for Redemption Road If it really does exist Just a hand, a touch, a face I really need to find that place. |

Agree, although almost none of my songs have a bridge! But I just finished writing one that actually does have a bridge? I usually go verse chorus verse chorus, same ol same ol.

if you were to use that fouth 'verse' as a 'chorus', then you might consider writing 3 more verses for v v v c v v v c c

Thanks folks for the feedback.
Boydog & Rockinrobin - It doesn’t feel like a v c v c sorta song to me but I do agree with you it does need a good bridge. I had one written, but it was crap so I scrapped it! Easilyspooked - I do kinda like that idea I will definitely give that some thought. More work to do obviously, in the mean time put a rough recording down to show where I’m starting from.
