Greetings fellow band members!
If you play in a band, this is the place to discuss all those things that are unique to bands - from finding the right personnel, to developing your own sound, crazy gig stories, advice on getting along with your bandmates, where you can find a muzzle for your lead singer's girlfriend, pretty much the whole gamut. Whether you're a weekend bar band veteran, an original indie band, just starting your first band or have been together forever... we've all probably got a lot to talk about!
I also hope to eventually turn this forum into a resource that will help bands promote themselves. Down the road, I'd like to put together a gig calendar and other things that will be helpful in getting the word out about all of our respective bands. So stay tuned for more on that.
A bit about me... I play guitar and am a co-writer in an independent rock band called What The...? (http://www.what-the.com) We've been together for 4 years and feel really fortunate to have gotten together, as we get along great both musically and personally. More on that later too, I'm sure.
As far as forum "rules," let's just stick with the obvious stuff: no posting porn, spam or flooding, and no personal attacks. Let's just show some basic respect for each other, and it'll all be good. Let's also keep things more or less focused on the topic! Looking forward to getting to know all of you!

A "Backstage With the Band"-Forum?
What the... ?
;) :D
"Backstage With the Band"? Where's Robbie Robertson? Are they backing Dylan tanight?
Seriously (as if all that wasn't seriously bad enough), hi and how are you today, Miss Flier? How's things with your band?
I hope that Erik makes some appearances over here, he'll likely make a great addition with his road-reports and updatish threads...
Not to mention that it might come in handy to have someone who can speak, read, and write Blickum around... and, hey, he hates smilies! ehr, I mean, -cool-
I need to get a band of my own, so that I'm not just crashing the party here... ! ;) :D

I just wanna be your one man, your one man band...
Oh yeah, Lee...perhaps you wouldn't mind if I posted This Link (http://www.musicplayer.com/ubb/ultimatebb.php?/ubb/forum/f/23.html)...so all who were curious about this new location can just go browse the old location to see what it's all about, meet a few of the cast of crazee characters and whatnot.

Okay. I think I'll be solo for a while, anyway. I just got myself an old-school 4 track cassette recorder with dbx noise reduction. Le's see what mr. doc can come up with. :D

Drummers are such flakes sometimes. " How do you get a drummer off your front porch?
Pay him for the PIZZA!
You can sub bass player or lead vocalist as well. LOL.

So I got myself into another band and I figured I'd use the forums to learn and share. Well see ya around these parts more but not too much of course...

What's the difference between a guitarist and a savings bond?
A savings bond will eventually mature and earn money.

Hi Lee,
I wondered if you had a good time in England. I would have come to see you play but by the time I found out you were playing a few U.K. gigs, you were on your way home. Too late again !
I noticed that on a recent thread you were expressing an interest in Gordon-Smith guitars. Did you try any out in the U.K while you were there ?

Very nice column in EQ..........made me think alot. Good insight, and makes me want to throw away the monitor. But I wouldnt be able to see the mouse cursor then. (I have some tape years)
I have made a piece of cardboard that covers the screen,
works good Lee...
