I Need Mesa INFO!

Hey, I'm lookin' to get a Mesa TriAxis @ my local Guitar Center, I wanna know if it would get as much gain and crunch as a dual/triple recto. (I used to own a Dual Recto but sold it because of space.)

Also I heard of a "Phat" Mod on the ver. 2 of it.

What is the Phat mod? is it good?

The Fat Mod, is a mod done on the Recto board to make it sound fatter. Some pre-mod users do not like the fatter sound. I've never heard the non-Fat version so I can't compare.
