Anyone have one of these and if so do they have any trouble with the fader. My problem is that it kicks in way to late and needs more stretch from the fingers for the crab (and I have big fingers - ask my girlfriend, I often have to pick her nose cause she can't reach the back see...). another problem is that the fader sticks after a while and I have to spray it with servisol to get it sliding again, anyone else have these problems , i'm thinking of sending it back in exchange for a pmc 07 only that means another £300/$500.

What other mixers have you owned? I don't want to sound like an ass here, but I think you may just need to practice more. To be able to scratch well and consistently you need to be able to do a crab scratch on a POS Gemini mixer. Give me some more info and I'll try to hrlp you some more. (i.e. How long have you been djing, what's your setup, what other mixers have you used, etc.)
Peace

thanks for the reply.
Well, I am Djing 8 years and won a mixing competition 5 years ago and I had a Gemini mixer before (i've also had about 5 other shite mixers before that). I know how to do the crab and have done it on the gemini, the crab isn't the main problem, the fader sticking is but it seems to be away for the last few weeks. I've been told to hoover the fader to suck any dust up so i'll try that next time.

Yeah you can try that. If this is a new thing that the mixer didn't used to do you may want to open her up and make sure there's no interference on the optics. However, if this is a problem the mixer has always had, I've heard of people sanding off a small amount of the piece that blocks the optical sensor to make the fader react with less movement. This seems a little radical to me, but it might be worth it. I guess you could always replace the fader if nothing else works.
Peace
