View Full Version : Tell me who your favorite DJs are

I'm trying to put together a list of DJ's in various genres for a project I'm working on. It would be very helpful to get a list of who people consider good DJ's in any or all of the following areas:
rap/hip-hop
booty bass
house
trance/progressive
techno
trip hop
jungle
drum n bass
experimental / miscellaneous
If I have forgotten an important area, or if you want to break a category down into sub-catgories, go ahead.
Also, I am trying to get names of DJ's that are too huge - i.e. do not have big money record deals and do not get 10K+ for a single night's set.
Thanks to anyone who can help out!

In regards to DJ Clue, I think Ernest's mix tapes are simply artist promoting. As a DJ though, Im sure many of us here can WAX that ass. I never hear him cut or really blend or mix anything rather than that BS echo yelling intros he does that he ripped off Kid Capri.

Mark James the 45 King for hip hop. He did Hard Knock Life for Jay-z, Stan for Eminem, the 900 number beat (let me clear my throat) amongst others. Did Queen Latifah's first album, and microphone fiend for Rakim. Get at me!
