The good news is that the quality of the photage is excellent. It's the whole concert also. It's just been lying around somewhere in the archives.
The bad news is that Swedish television, which is publically owned, not a private company, are notorious for not selling stuff.
The cool thing is that those of us who can watch Swedish television will probably soon be able to see this show for free on TV.
The rest of you will just have to wait. But it'll probably be worth it...

As a fellow balalaika enthusiast, I KNOW you'll want to get me a copy, preferably on DVD. :)

Hallelujah! That's pobably why it got recorded in the first place - the agreement that the recording could not be sold.

If it's hi quality - technically I'm sure it is - it's value is inmeasurable. Like finding a big Michelangelo or Rembrandt painting.

I think eventually there will be an official version out on the open market. It's just gonna take a little time, that's all.

Ah, so you did't see the clips on TV last night... technically it's perfect of course. I mean it's SVT, right? It's in black and white, which means there were no colors that could get pale to begin with.
Excellent photage, close up on the stage. At least one, since then deaf camera man seems to have been standing next to Jimi's amps, right there on the side.

Obviously, Terje, you were not that cameraman!;)
You mean they showed teaser clips of the footage, but not the whole thing? What kind of Public Broadcasting is that? Demand they screen the entire concert daily for a month!;)

Yeah, fortunately I'd say :)
I know an old jazz bass player who saw that particular concert. Or, he saw half of it cause it was so damn loud he had to leave. But what he saw and heard was, according to him, awesome.

They will hopefully show the whole thing on TV soon enough. This was part of the regular news broadcast (and in Sweden there is just one really, it's on at 19.30 and everyone sees it... except Fred... ) so they had only two minutes to talk about it.
