Here's a thought.
I'm sure that we have all felt it. When pressing play and listening to a song, and just relating to it. It is almost as if the songwriter penned the words just for you. As the song plays out, the words encompass all that you are feeling right there and then. Whether it be the sadness of a broken heart, the loss of a Love, the excitement of an evening out, the choices to be made in life, Whatever. The words that are being sung just grab you - it was written for you.
But surly everyone in the world can't be feeling the same as you - surly everyones life is different - and it is.
And there lies the secret. That is how the greatest songs stand up to the harshest of scrutinies - we can all relate to them. We might not think of the same situations or meanings, but we all hold them in a special place for they remind us, they emote us, and they move us to feel and to think, and they fit each and every situation that each and everyone of us feels at some point in our ever varied lives.
