Anyone know anything about the new shure wireless system coming out (SLX series)? Mainly I'm curious about when it will be available and how much street price will be. Thanks.

They are supposed to be shipping around March. I do not know pricing yet but can find out as we have already ordered a bunch for retail and rental.

They are frequency agile diversity UHF, with digial backlit displays, very similar to the ULX series, but the price is coming in between ULX and UT series. Sounds like an answer to the Sennheiser Evolution.

soundtec: You got it. SLX also has a new auto setup feature where all you have to do is push the sync button and SLX identifies the best channel and automatically sets up the transmitter and receiver. It's pretty incredible. Pricing will be a little under the current ULX Standard systems. It should be shipping by the middle of March.

Hi,

Thomann has already added SLX products to their online catalog. Here is the description of the SLX 4 receiver:

SHURE SLX 4, UHF Diversity Receiver 9,5", Display with low-battery-, group- and channel, 960 frequencies, 12 SLX parallel, frequenzscan, frequence transmission with infrared, Pilotton, jack and xlr out, removeable antennas (BNC) and volume on the back

Also available on musicians gear...

Price is, as announced, lower than for the equivalent ULX system.

Earl.
