Is the reverb on the Intelliverb as good as the Lexicon units or is it just different?

The Intelliverb is a cool piece of gear. It is not a Lexicon however. The cool feature of the Intelliverb/Intellifex and most other Rocktron fx/preamps is that they switch really fast. So fast it can be considered instant. The algorithms in the Intelliverb are really cool. They offer room dimensions are a parameter in the reverb algorithms and the smoothness over the reverb is overall better than the Interllifex. If you can score one for a good price snag it... odds are you will dig it.

The Intelliverb seems much better than the Intellifex yet Rocktron decided to discontinue it. Don't really understand why!

Rocktron was bought by GHS a while ago and they cut a lot of products from the overall line. Rack gear was extremely un-hip in the late 90s. There was a huge retro movement and tons of custom shop pedal builders sprang up everywhere... I'd bet the internet had something to do with it. GHS also big on cutting corners. They discontinued lots of cool pieces or morphed them into junk...:(
