whats up with that? why try n put him down if that's his taste?
DJgone-their all different but a good basis would be progressive house/trance/tek. u can check out some labels like Bedrock, Filtered, Moonshine, Hooj Choons, Yoshitoshi, Choo Choo, Primate, Teknology, Sog, Kismet, BXR, etc.. of course listen to the records first as some of the labels do a few different genre's. those should keep you busy for a bit. n sometimes, just pick stuff out you've never heard of n give it a listen.. i'll sometimes jut close my eyes n pick out 50 to listen to. nothing like finding a gem. hope that helps. :)

i've heard that oakenfold doesn't even mix when he plays live now-just fakes it then strikes his jesus pose.
digweed plays lots of things that won't reach the public for years. he says he spends about $1000 a month on acetates and that people send him so many records he doesn't even have time to listen to them all. if you go to his site, you can see the tracklisting for his radio show and it has the names of the labels.

ouch tought crowd, getting into the scence will make people want the most visible people like oakie and digweed. The more you listen the less you'll like oakie. (however, digweed is such a nice guy as I got to meet him). Then you'll start getting some more obscure or underground to your liking. 10 years ago the only electro music the mainstream heard was NIN. My suggestion is to go on ebay and try to get lots of records. People start out like you grabbing stuff they like and growing or moving on. Good Luck
