I'm trying to change things I have recorded on my pc's sound recorder program to cd readable . I can burn it into a data file on cd , but not into a cd readable format . When I burn them , I use RecordNow! So however I do it is cool , but I don't want to spend more than $100 for software . Also I'm thinking of getting a digital 8-track with a usb , it converts to wav , so the same questions would be raised .

if you want the file to be mp3, just save it as song.mp3.
if you want it to be a wav file, save it as .wav.
that usually works, if not, there are free trial programs that you can download, file converter, and those work as well.

I use Music Match Plus for $19.95, it has a converter feature.

I actually just got some info and wrote my own program . The problem was that it was infact a wav file , but set at 8 bit mono for 12 khz , when it needed to be converted to 44.1 khz at 16 bit stereo . It took me a loooonnggg time to figure this out though .
