Hardware question

I am looking to purchasing a new soundcard for my computer. I have been using the a Soundblaster Live card. I have been looking at either purchasing a Adiophile 24/96 and a Behinger mixer or the Omni Studio which includes the Delta 66 card. Does anyone have a preference between the two setups? The Omni would cost about $100 more than the Audiophile setup.

I basically record vocals and guitar but I am looking to record percussion and maybe some other instruments later on.

it would all depend on wether you plan on doing your recording of instruments all at once and keeping them seperate ( e.g. recording guitar and vocals at the same time to 2 different tracks) or recording guitar, then going back and recording vocals.

if all at once then you'll need the delta 1010 le or 1010. as you want to include other instruments later and will need more than 4 inputs.


if not then the behringer mixer will allow you to do things like have everyone playing at once and getting all the levels right then recording the whole session as 2 stereo tracks. it will also help out later on with gigs and such. if you want multi tracks simultaneously then get one of the delta 1010's used. if not then the behringer and delta 44 used or the audiophile 24/96.
