hi everyone

i got the MOTU 896 a few days ago and i'm having some difficulties with some stuff
i'd like to be able to monitor my music/play it back through my computer speakers instead of through monitors. right now all i have are my luverly sony headphones for flat response playback, but i'd like to be able to listen to my stuff out loud as well even though i haven't quite got the cash yet for proper speakers ...
i have a g4 and harman kardon soundsticks ... so the speakers connect through usb to the computer ...
is there any way to make the soundsticks be my primary sound output device for the 896 ?
any help is much appreciated

thanks a bunch !

I don't think you can do what you want effectively. It would be better to connect your PC speakers to the 896 and use it as your main sound card for everything. (I alway turn the Windows sounds completely off on my recording/editing system so I don't have to deal with buzzers and bells during recording, and they don't use up system resources).

ah ... bugger !

they operate through usb so ... i don't think that'll work ... unless there's some sort of converter for them, but i doubt it ...

thanks though
