Just wondering... does anyone actually have this unit in their rig currently? I see lots of pictures of rigs on here, but not many with the recto.

i used to have a recto preamp in my rig !
i bought an ENGL 530 which is less expensive and much more powerfull, to replace the recto!
the recto preamp doesn t have a nice clean .
it is a very strange feeling with the rectifiers , you always need to attack the chords to have good sound !
it sounds good but it is not a pleasure to play with a recto , don t know if you see what i mean .....

I use it with H&K Access preamp. In the beginning I had hard time dialing pleasant tones out of this rig but hours of tweaking were worth it and today I'm very happy with the sounds. I've always loved Rectifier tones despite the frequent bashing on the amp forum, and Recto Pre satisfies my needs nicely. I'm only using it for live playing atm though (through Access EQ->Effects->Mesa 20/20 which I'm going to change to Mesa Recto 100:100 somewhere in the future), I tried the recording outs once but wasn't contented with the results.
