Do I need a seperate cd-rom drive if I have a Sony cd-rw 32X10X40? Would that work for all around purposes as well as burning quality audio cd's?

yes it wil. you may want to invest in a second cd rom or dvd drive though. if you wish to copy cds without having to rip them to your hard drive first then a $35 cd-rom drive becomes a good investment. if you wanna watch dvds come break time a dvd drive is a sound choice as well due to your being able to use it for a second cd-rom also.
