Hey folks!
Know anything about these boards? I´m about to get a K7S5A, that uses the SIS 735 chipset. It cost about half of a similar Asus, and I´m on low budget. It also allows both SDRAM and DDR memory so I can upgrade the memory only in the future (and not now!!)
Any info about these boards, and how they will fit in a DAW?
Any info really appreciated!
I´d use it with an athlon 1800xp

Thats the same setup I have. Get as much ram as you can afford and the fastest disks. You'll be set

great!
can you tell me what soundcard and software are you using? Are you multitracking with it?
What can you say about the performance.
thanks

I have a delta audiophile card. Software includes Reason, Sonar, several softsynths. I've used mostly reason on it so far with no issues at all. Softsynths with sonar have run with little latency- the audio card makes a big difference. Haven't done any multitracking yet, but I suspect I'll be fine with the audiophile card.
