This gave me the biggest "LOL" I've had in a while, and I mean that literally. Does this mean I'm going to hell?

I dunno, it's pretty tasty. Pretty mindblowing remixes as well.

The lead singer, Salvatore, looks like a 1970's gay pornstar.

When I was singing with with black gospel choirs, it was sometimes jarring for the pastor to stop everything so a couple of teenaged boys could do Christian Rap in a quasi-gangsta style. I didn't feel that style worked as well...

I can't believe the lyrics though...

Once I tried to run, I tried to run and hide.
But Jesus came and found me and He touched me down inside.
He is like mountie, He always gets His man, and He'll zap you any way he can.
Zap.

When I worked on cruise ships out of Miami, patrons were often inquisitive to the on-ship talent as to whether they were Christian or Jewish... Oh the personal questions they'd ask...! For reasons known only to them, it was important.

Even though the answer was probably none of their business (and made little difference in the context of a ship where people indulge in raucous pleasure, 24/7), many of the musicians decided to solve the problem by announcing they belonged to JEWS FOR JESUS. And wore pendants, rings and t-shirts to prove it.

That shut 'em up.

But isn't that grouping rather oxymoronic? Like saying you're a Gay Log Cabin Republican?

Well I think you need to look in context of the time that this was originally created....1981. Back then, a Casio keyboard was hot.

Those guys were from "new-yawk"? Who knew?

Although I can sorta see it. The lead singer's face has a bit too much of a "snarl" to be Midwestern. :)

I can't help but notice that YOUTUBE--- if you'll scroll along the bottom of the video clip featured in the original post--- has filed "Jesus Is My Friend" right next to "Jizz In My Pants".

I think Jesus would beg to differ (that he is a friend of theirs). Some so-called Christian music can be pretty lame. On the other hand that looks like kiddie music to me, like the wiggles or somethin'

If it's not, God help us all!

I remember a stripper for Jesus being around years ago. I believe many souls were saved.

Hmmm... well, I'll be damned, looks they're still around.

Isn't life wonderful?

Maybe now I can resubmit the idea we have a belly dancer from time-to-time at my church. That would be tame in comparison. Ever since I saw a belly dancer at synagogue during Israel's 60th birthday celebration, I said well why not? I certainly felt uplifted.
