portable DAW

Hi. I do production work for a small radio station. I am also in a band that will be going on an extended tour in about a months time. While on tour, I will have to continue my duties for the station. Cash, as always, is an issue. My question- What kind of a portable/laptop DAW(complete setup with software and I/O) would you guys recommend for 2 grand? I will only be needing 2 inputs at a time but would like to have the option to up the ante in the future when i can get more cash.
