I have a couple of Burny guitars
The Les Paul model has a serial number of FG-0311732
And the Gibson 335 knock off is FGA-03010162.

Anybody able to tell me anything about these two?
The electronics in the 335 were replaced and when I saw what was inside I was majorly disappointed. My bad for buying on eBay.

Burny has been making LP copies in China for quite awhile. Those are rather long serial numbers for any of the early ones. . Post a pix.

I agree with Collie Ransom. The early MIJ Burny LPs started with no.s like RLC-90 and FLG-90 etc. Usually the first two numbers represent the selling price in yen (in your case 30,000 yen / US$300). Also the pattern on the headstock changed from (A) to (B). The above info is for LPs BTW. More info is available here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Burny#Serial_Numbers). It's a shame you're not happy, they're excellent guitars.
