Orders at NAMM?

I was wondering if the companies that show at NAMM write a lot of orders at the show or if it' mostly just to show product.

The reason I ask is that I work for a company that sells barcode scanning software for companies at trade shows. We mostly deal with the furniture and lighting industry, but I'd love an excuse to go "work" at NAMM.

It looks like that's the only way I'll ever get in there ;)

If there are a lot of orders written there and they do it by hand our software could speed that up a lot.

Just curious for some info from you guys that have been there.

They sell there. One thing sticks out in my mind about Jackson last year. Apparently EVERY guitar they had there last year had already been purchased by Fuller's Vintage (who seems to hoard Jacksons...). The other Jackson dealers were PISSED OFF and made it known. Can't say if Jackson made amends, but I do know of one long-time, big dealer who dumped them not long after that....
