1) Perhaps it'd be best if you post those good members of this forum who are trustworthy when it comes to buying / selling / trading! I think it'd help all of us!

2) ESP guitars... How can you tell a fake from a real one? I know to check the serial number, etc., but is there any special things you think those counterfeiters won't know what to include?

2. Serial numbers can be faked too. Not a good way though.

Haha, yeah, this is a pretty legitimate forum, from what I've seen.

I don't understand making fake guitars. It ruins it for us all!

They reckon (I read this somewhere) that although Gibson made something like 1770 Les Paul Standards between 1958 and 1960 and there are now something like 3200 of them floating around in the trade. Something to worry about?
I assume it must be even worse for pre-CBS Fenders.

I guess it's safe to just buy guitars from a store if it's there, but when someone's worked their ass off to get the cool, rare guitar they've been wanting and buy it online of someone and they get some crappy-made piece of wood, then that's just the worst!
