If you happen to have a USA Strat with 2-point tremolo, don't order the USA Strat- 2 point Hardened Steel Tremolo Systems!

Their description states
"Next we threw out the thin, lightweight tapered block that the big "F" uses and put a FULL-SIZED, STEEL SUSTAIN BLOCK on this bad boy."

That is a LIE. They don't show clear photos of the tremolo block underneath, and ordering it will turn into a bitter disappointment.

PS: upon further investigation of the carefully concealing photos in the site, you can tell by the photo that the tremolo block is NOT full size - as it would appear bigger, even from that angle:

Saw this thread on the electric guitar forum as well. I know from first hand experience that Jay will either make it right or offer a refund. The OP is lying here.

The item he received is EXACTLY the one we show on the site. It DOES NOT have a weight relieved, zinc block. It has an extra FAT full sized block made of STEEL- It's as physally large as the two point gemoetry will allow without hitting the cavity walls- Not bad for Forty bucks eh?

Being someone who purchase a lot of stuff from Guitarfetish.com. I have never received an item that wasn't what it was described. I purchased a tele bridge and I finally got around to installing it 6 months later. The saddle pulled right off the screw. I e-mailed Jay and without a single issue he mailed me a new saddle/screw. That's what I like in a company is customer service. People will eventually ruin a good thing..

The only thing I don't like about buying my stuff from GF is the damn tax I have to pay ;)

The "2 point geometry" - wow you know how to BS nice and good. You should be a car salesman.

Yeah I guess it's as "physally" large as allowed... except for the chunk that is not there to allow the super awesome pop in tremolo arm, which is a totally kick ass feature. Why didn't Leo "F" think of it before? Take a piece out of the block, to allow for more comfortable trem arm insertion, and not tell the customers that they're actually not buying Full Size in the true meaning of the word - just "full size" considering that you can't make it bigger because of the non-standard, import metal plate it's attached to. And then lower the price and let them find out why

The "2 point geometry" - wow you know how to BS nice and good. You should be a car salesman.

Dude- Seriously...

The two point trems mount on STUDS- the trem sits up above the body of the guitar- Leo didn't do it this way because he had no idea how to- These trems take a non-patented feature of the Floyds and uses it- Two studs produces far less friction than size bearing points yet offers excellent sustain transfer. Somehow bolting the block from a 6 screw trem onto this is just stupid- Why would anyone do that? We say it's FULL SIZED- not "Full Height" or whatever particular single dimension that has your panties in a bunch.

many, many people prefer the sound of a stud-mounted trem- and of course tuning stability and tremolo range is enhanced.

Putting the trem arm in the block is fine as well- but the separate arm socket like we do it just works better- so we made the block fatter from front to back to get extra mass.

The bottom line here is the design of this unit is pretty sound and very, very well thought out. Now i can't claim that the metal finishing is to the quality of a Callaham unit- of course it's not- but it's pretty good- and functionally i would say that this is the equal of anything out there- and for the complete kit with springs, screws, studs and claw for $39 I think it is a fair price.

And given the no-restocking fee return policy- We are happy to issue a refund or swap this for a 6 screw trem with vintage sized block.

I've had a couple issues ordering from GuitarFetish in the last year. First I received a dead pickup, then they sent me a pickup that looked like it had been repaired and resold, and then last month I was the winning bidder on an ebay auction for pickups they didn't even have in stock. That being said, they were very quick and courteous resolving the issues. Did you try emailing them before starting your HC crusade to make them into big fat liar-faces?

I recieved the wrong part (pre wired pickguard) instead of what I ordered (neck pup for my tele). I wanted to order this pg anyway, so I emailed GFS & explained even though this meant more money. I wasn't unhappy to begin with but they were apologetic & got me the tele pup right away. Customer svc is top notch from GFS. I think they'd give money back if you didn't like the color of wires on a pup! So, Gordon, get off your toilet seat & smell your own butt. It stinks!

Customtele is right on, those dudes will bend over backwards, to the point of tea bagging their own foreheads, just to make a customer happy. When I needed a defective pickup replaced, they send me a new pickup with return postage, no questions asked. They were also extremely apologetic, even though it wasn't a big deal at all. But really, way to start a counterfeit thread before trying to solve your problem like a grown up, fucktard.

I've purchased a few items from Guitar Fetish, They do "Puff their goods" quite a bit in their marketing but not to the point of false info or fraudulent info so this charge is unfair. For the money GFS seem to fit a particular niche in the market. example: I purchased a P90 Tele guard that was suppose to be an exact fit for an American Series Tele, it was very very very close but not an exact fit, but it was well worth their bargin price, which was more affordable than any other supplier. I've purchased other parts to that did just what I thought they would do, a decent job at an very affordable price. "It is what it is", decent parts at a good price.

I purchased a Crunchy Rails pup from GFS. It sounds surprisingly Kick Ass, and comparable to the Duncan Dimebucker. I only paid about $30 for the GFS, where the Duncan would run me WAY more than that, something like 4 times as much. There may be a difference, but I'm not a freaking studio guitarist making 7-8 digits a year. I'll keep my Crunchy, thanks. Point is, the parts are Killer for the money. Period. On a different note, who wouldn't be happier with a two-point trem over the standard F trem? I would, but then I prefer Floyds. Blah...blah...blah....Probably should've at least contacted them first, not to beat the dead horse or anything.
