crazy trade

ok so this guy wants to trade my mesa/boogie .50 caliber series (broken reverb, could probably sell it for 400) head pics here http://s511.photobucket.com/albums/s360/no1000/ for his a-desings em-peq (which retails for about 1200). from the pics he sent me it looks legit.

what questions should i ask him?? what should I look for when i meet him?

my plan is to resell is and make my money back plus some.

Unless you can try his out, and he yours, I don't think the trade should happen...he could be selling you just the cab/case with no guts for all you know...

Absolutely. If there isn't an opportunity to play through it, don't trade.

I think you have the trade backwards...

I'm not sure how this is a counterfeiting issue and I haven't heard of fake API compatible modules. That's an awesome deal if you can swing it. Do you have an API/BA 500 lunchbox or A-Designs or API rack to try it out with, or could you borrow one? You should still make sure that module works. You'll still need a mic pre or other line level signal going into the P-EQ to make sure it works. If you record at all, you might want to hold on to that thing!
