I dunno but I saw The Allman Bros about 2 months ago and Derek Trucks was using them. sounded great

Are you sure it wasn't the old PRS amp from the early 90's?

no its a new amp. There's a thread about them in the guitar forum. They sounded tube to me. To my ears it was more fenderish. Less gainy than warren

I heard saw, and heard them in person at the experience. Fantastic sounding amps! All tube, and in the boutique price range. Doug Sewell of Sewell amps is now a PRS employee, and is heading the new amp project. If I remember correctly, they will be available early 2009.

Thats exactly what the world needs, Another boutique style amp with a price to match. I can almost gaurantee despite being all tube it will be PC based with the board populated in china and the tone stack connected with ribbon cables. There is nothing wrong with this construction method but I am guessing that 90% of this amp will be made in China and basic assembly will be done here and they will call it MADE IN USA.

I played the old solid state heads and I liked them, I was actually hoping this would be a low cost chinese SE version of that amp. Oh well, Just more overpriced (IMO) stuff from PRS I don't want.
