Fieldy takes a lot of flak from the bass player "community", people seem to malign his technique a lot (not from me, I think its pretty interesting). Mostly the percussive clicking he throws into his bass lines. Have you had any challenges or times you've had to change your technique so that you two aren't walking on each other's lines? Do you feel that playing with him is closer to playing with a "traditional" slap bassist, or is it closer to playing with another percussionist?

I've had the opportunity to play with some amazing bassists in my career like Billy Sheehan, Robert DeLeo, James LoMenzo, John DeServio and Ricky Wolking. Fieldy's one of the most unique and interesting bassist out of them all. He has such a distinctive tone and sound. It's very percussive and powerful and you instantly know it's him when you here it. It's a lot of fun playing with him live.
Check out the video of us working out an intro for "Freak On A Leash" on korn.com. Also listen to his playing on the new Korn soundtrack tune "Kidnap The Sandy Claws" for the Nightmare Revisited CD. That's my first recording with the full band...it's HEAVY!
