Ringo was AMAZING... I love his feel. Perfect example of "playing for the song."

I believe Portnoy keeps saying that Ringo is his favorite drummer. I have to listen to some Beatles now that this has come up again :D probably gonna cover "Everybody's got something to hide". I like fun songs :)

Anyone who complains about Ringo's drumming is really missing out on this whole music thing.

Everyone who wonders if Ringo could "shred", not really, but who gives a crap. He had some of the biggest hits ever on Earth, and always gave the song more groove than was probably concieved when it was written.
He epitomized being a "musician" more than 99.9% of the drummers out there. I find that when I start getting "too busy" behind the kit, I think about Ringo and how unselfish his playing was. Truly playing for the music always brings the song to a higher level.

He was right for the band, anyone busier would have changed the feel of the songs. (I can't of a better way of saying it.)

I love Ringo, but I'm really into Levon Helm of The Band right now. That guy has so much emotion in his drumming it's incredible.
