Hey Ray,

Straight up, I just wanted to say how much I dig the Army of Anyone CD. I've been a longterm fan of STP, and I was so pleased AoA was much more well executed than Velvet Revolver.

So my question for you, how was writing with the AoA boys like? Was there one sticking member that was the most prolific? Were there any weird inspiration-hits moments you want to share?

Thanks,
Dave

AoA was a great cd, wished it got more play on radio then it did...

agreed, fantastic songwriting. i love your work (ray) on goodbye, especially coming out of the solo through the outro - you worked well with the deleo brothers. i'm sorry that project came to an end so soon, it's one of my favorite albums still.

Thanks, I'm really proud of that band and cd. It was my first band experience in a while that I was a full member of and had a 'say' in what went on every step of the way.
The DeLeo Brothers are some of the best writers and musicians on the planet. They're also some of my favorite people to be around. I love them dearly.
I've always been a Filter fan, so getting to work with Rich was great. We actually did a few STP and Filter tunes live in our AOA set.
People keep asking me at my clinics if they'll be another AOA cd and I sure hope so! Never say never...
I recently had an amazing experience filling in for Eric Kretz with Stone Temple Pilots because of the passing of his Father. It was SO great to be on stage with the DeLeos again but with Scott singing...WOW!
You can see some youtube clips, type in "Stone Temple Pilots Voodoo fest 2008".
