Publicity stunt by MF? Or what?
Seriously, this forum destroys the anonymity and commonality that is often seen between members. Just my opinion, discuss.

Huh? You can still be as anonymous as you want. The only one not being anonymous is Ray, but then again, there are a lot of people here who are not anonymous, like..well...me.
This has a precedent - when Bruce Swedien came into Sound, Studio, and Stage and started answering questions. He contributed so much useful information that he ended up getting his own sticky thread, and he actually hung out for a couple years before he started having some health issues that made participation difficult.
Bruce would be the first to tell you he got as much out of interacting with the SSS community as they did interacting with him. He still stops by from time to time and visits the "neighborhood."
Having guest hosts is something I've wanted to do for a while. I almost had Bob Moog talked into it before he got cancer...that would have been really cool.
The idea of Ray participating in the forums was proposed to HC. Does anyone think I'd say in response "No, we're not really interested in having someone with a ton of real-world experience share that knowledge with our members"? He's into it, and that's good enough for me.
