So...what drums & cymbals are you using these days, but more importantly, why do you use one particular piece of gear over another?

Yeah, let's have it.

I know a lot of exposed drummers use gear because it is "offered to them", and then there are some that use the gear they like.

Interested to know your scoop and what you like about the gear and what you would like to see improved upon.

Thanks
Dendy

I've used and endorsed Sabian cymbals since '94. They are the best sounding and most durable cymbals I've ever used. They're always trying to come up with new ideas and different sounds, and that's important to me because I play in many different situations all the time. Check out sabian.com to hear samples.

I've been with Pro-Mark sticks for about 10 years now. I don't hit too light, so In really need a stick that lasts. They just feel good and comfortable too.

I love Drum Workshop pedals and hardware. I have some 9000's and 5000 double pedals. I used the 9000's with Korn, they're quick but powerful. But I went back to the 5000's for Army Of Anyone because they're a bit heavier and I needed to lay back more in that gig. DW's hardware is very durable. I never used a rack or cage so my stands have to be heavy and they can't break on me in the middle of a show!

Remo heads have always sounded the best to me. I've been using them since I was in 8th grade and started endorsing them when I was in Wicked Alliance with Jake E. Lee. They last a long time and keep their tone. My favorite is the coated emp snare head, just perfect.

My newest endorsement is Ddrum acoustic and electronic percussion. They're really hip to what's going on in the music biz right now. I have 4 Ddrum kits in 4 different parts of the world now because of Korn's crazy touring schedule. My USA Custom kit is amazing for recording. Another one of my favorites is the acrylic kit that now lives in Germany awaiting the next European Korn tour. They're really supportive to clinicians and educators like myself. Some drum companies don't get that. Check out their drums on: ddrum.com
