I've discovered that with the addition of doing regular cardiovascular workouts (treadmill, elliptical machine, tread climber) my vocal power/stamina has improved tenfold. Is there a correlation, or is it just a placebo kind of effect? And does anyone else employ this kind of thing?

I totally agree.

I run, and ride mountain bikes.

I believe that it helps my lung capacity, (they open up more since I work them more) and it helps my attitude. I really like routines. A cardio workout is part of a routine for me.

Also, Yoga is very cool. It helps to lower the stress. You also become more adept at focusing on a certain part of your body. In the case of singing, perhaps you will become more adept to using your diaphragm.

Yoga...never thought of that, but it makes sense. I've also wondered about Pilates as well. Thanks, WZ!:thu:
