For all those people who say iZ's RADAR recorder sounds really good but are using a computer-based DAW, meet ADA. It's a high-end, multichannel A/D and D/A converter that offers 8, 16, or 24 channels of Classic, Nyquist, or S-Nyquist converter cards - the same ones used in RADAR. It offers MADI digital I/O, optional ADAT lightpipe I/O, interfacing with Logic/Pro Tools/Nuendo/Reaper/all native DAWs via MADI, word clock, video sync, AES/SPDIF sync I/O, touchscreen front panel controls, and GUI for routing. It ain't cheap, though: The system starts $7,400.
The first image shows a corner of the front panel. The second shows the touch screen routing and control screen; the final two show the rear panel.
