For all those people who say iZ's RADAR recorder sounds really good but are using a computer-based DAW, meet ADA. It's a high-end, multichannel A/D and D/A converter that offers 8, 16, or 24 channels of Classic, Nyquist, or S-Nyquist converter cards - the same ones used in RADAR. It offers MADI digital I/O, optional ADAT lightpipe I/O, interfacing with Logic/Pro Tools/Nuendo/Reaper/all native DAWs via MADI, word clock, video sync, AES/SPDIF sync I/O, touchscreen front panel controls, and GUI for routing. It ain't cheap, though: The system starts $7,400.

The first image shows a corner of the front panel. The second shows the touch screen routing and control screen; the final two show the rear panel.

The power supplies on the ADA are really excellent... they kept
the analog completely separate from the digital and you can
ground isolate either side.

Here's Barry talking about it..
