I've bought gear from Musician's Advocate three times now on evilbay, and have been very pleased with the prices and the service. No worries there.

[QUOTE=evathomas;32702538]It's nearing three weeks since I bough an ATM450 from them off ebay. I got an email right away stating that I would have a tracking number within 72 hours. Yeah, right. Didn't happen. Since then I've sent a total of eight more emails to various addresses affiliated with their company. One of my early emails asked if they had a tracking number for me. The response, and I'm not joking, was "Not yet, sit tight". That's it.

You can file with Ebay. I thought there was a phone number listed for them on thier auctions.
I have bought from them once. Didn't do my homework properly, wish I'd checked all the forums!
Ordered a set of AKG K271 MKII headphones with extra accessories (extra earpads and cable) as advertised brand new and factory warranted by Musician's Advocate (MA). Received a pair of K271 Studio cans looking like they were some sort of b-stock or customer return or something, and DOA to boot.
I was not happy.
Months later it became apparent that neither MA nor PayPal would do anything. I repaired them myself (fixed faulty mute switch, and glued back on some trim that had come off) and they work fine.
Still, they were not the latest model as advertised, and they were clearly not brand new factory warranted stock as advertised either. This sales behaviour is blatantly dishonest.
I tried to resolve first by contacting the seller, then (once the 45 day deadline was looming) raising the issue with PayPal. Once the claim was raised with PayPal, MA put some comment in alleging that I was attempting to defraud them (this would be close to defamation in my country) and when questioned said that they had confused me with another client. They simply refused to do anything once the issue was raised with PayPal.
I guess their feedback comments (to others) should give a clue - very unprofessional comments. I will not deal with them again, and I will do my best to ensure that others are aware of their behaviour.
I suspect that if a transaction with them goes well, then fine. If it goes badly, tough luck. It's quite possible that some buyers would not be aware that they've been given b-stock (although it seems pretty obvious to me when they don't even ship the current model as advertised).
Be aware that MA would likely suffer far more negative feedback on ebay if not for the time limit on giving it. I know I would have loved to do so - but the whole thing simply dragged on for too long and I was mindful of giving them a chance to resolve the matter.
Big thumbs down from me.
