WTF is that
Ah, that's Rotta the Hutt, also called "Punky Muffin" by his father and "Stinky" by some, was a Huttlet around the time of the Clone Wars and the offspring of Jabba Desilijic Tiure, grandson of Zorba Desilijic Tiure, and nephew of Ziro.
Rotta was born in 32 BBY. Unlike most Huttlets, Rotta did not spend the first fifty years of his life inside his parent's brood pouch, as Jabba wanted him to directly experience the galaxy.[2] In 22 BBY, during the Clone Wars, the ten-year-old huttlet was kidnapped by his great-uncle Ziro, with the help of Count Dooku. The kidnapping prompted Jabba to make a deal with the Galactic Republic to rescue his son, in turn for free passage through his shipping routes.
While being held prisoner on Teth, his health deteriorated due to the planet's atmosphere. He was eventually rescued by Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker and his Padawan, Ahsoka Tano. But with the Separatists attacking, they could not treat him in a med station on a Venator-class cruiser. They took the Twilight to Tatooine. But as Rotta's condition worsened, Ahsoka looked at the ship's cargo to see what can help him. With the help of a hologram of a med droid, Ahsoka gave a pill that saved him. Unfortunately, they were shot down in Tatooine's orbit. To keep Rotta safe, Anakin had his pack filled with rocks to distract Count Dooku while Ahsoka and R2-D2 took Rotta to his father. When Magna Guards stood in their way Ahsoka defeated them. Just as Jabba was about to have Skywalker killed, thinking the Jedi had killed his son, Ahsoka arrived with the lost huttlet. Jabba was overjoyed by the safety of his son but still wanted the Jedi killed until Padme Amidala brought proof Ziro orchestrated the kidnapping. Jabba was then willing to sign the Republic's treaty, but not before settling a score with Ziro first.[1]
By 4 ABY, Rotta was either dead, presumed dead, or disowned by his father. In his last will, Jabba claimed not to have any children to run his criminal empire after his death.
Rotta's name was first found on a LEGO Preliminary Image of an AT-TE set to be released under the Clone Wars TV series line. Further leaked information, including his LEGO pic, pointed to him being a young, or diminutive Hutt, and even being Jabba's son, or another close relative. A Clone Wars action figure card confirmed him as the son of Jabba.
"Rotta" means "rat" in Finnish and Icelandic and "the rat" in Norwegian.
