My computer monitor has all the connections required. It has the one that the computer plugs into and it has the yellow RCA composite jack. Is there something I have to do to my monitor or to Windows to tell my monitor to accept input from the RCA instead of the computer?

I don't think this is possible. I recall a long thread at one of the computer/video game related forums that I visit from time to time and the consensus was that the two were incompatible.

Your monitor may have an input switch that choose between a computer input and a standard video input (the yellow jack). This assumes there are also white/red leads for audio, although you could feed these into any powered speakers.

Did you unplug the computer from the monitor? The monitor probably has a default that goes to VGA. Unplug that and then plug the yellow line in. See what happens.
Do ps2's have composite video out RYB? if so you can get a composite to vga adaptor.

If you have to ask, you can't.

Sony website should have a chord for this type of thing. I did this with my xbox 360..
