:blah: I have inherited a pair of dbx sfx-1 speakers originally purchased in the mid-1980's. They are approx. 48" high, 14"-16" sq free-standing speakers, with slightly sloping pyramid top to aprox. 12' sq.
I'm trying to research what they might be worth, researched dbx and found the website http://www.dbxpro.com, a cs rep there sent me a product list from the original dbx co. based in Newton, MA, but this model doesn't appear.
SF-1, etc. appear, but not SFX-1 (which is clearly stamped under the bases)
It also says they must be played with an SFC-1 eq. receiver.
I don't know what they originally retailed for, but have seen that some dbx speakers went for $1000-$5000? originally.
Any ideas of how much I might be able to get for 'em?
