The mixer itself works fine and can still be used as a standard dj mixer. The Kaoss pad function has a problem though. It makes a "distorted" sound when used. You can still hear some of the effects underneath it, but they're screwy. Numark still sells the parts for this mixer http://www.numark.com/products/parts.php?id=EM260
