Hey Peter,
A few weeks back I uploaded my album on Tunecore. It has not officially been released yet on Itunes and the other stores, but I need to know is there a way I can retract it before it actually gets released, and get my money back? This is very important, if you need more details to explain why I can tell you. BTW this has nothing to do with me not being happy with Tunecore - I actually think its a great service and I will definitely be using it in the future, its just that this specific album that I uploaded cannot be released due to some important issues.
Thanks.

Deepring (responded above) is right! Just write support@tunecore.com. The policy is, if we haven't delivered it, we'll refund you. But if we did deliver it, we've done our job, we need to get paid. I'm sure you understand. Only Support will know for sure in your case.
Thanks!

Yes Peter, I understand.
In that case, I would still like to have the albums retracted then. This is possible right?

Of course! That's why they invented the cancellation fee! People like you help subsidize my music delivery!
I like this business model more and more every day! Great Job Peter! Best thing out of Canada since since John Candy!

Um...thanks? I'm not entirely sure if there's sarcasm at work here...? We're not Canadian.
And we don't have a cancellation fee, unless you want something taken down within the first 6 months: and even then, it's not to generate revenue (it's not like a money-maker or anything), it's to discourage people from pulling their albums down, putting them up, pulling them down, ten times in the first month, using the stores like testing sites or somesuch. That would damage our relationship with the stores, who don't want all that extra labor.
We hate nickle-and-diming as much as everyone else. There ARE no hidden or special fees at TuneCore.
John Candy also rocked. :)

For some reason I thought Tunecore was Canadian, maybe it was that other indistr guy or something. Sorry for the confusion.
Great blog on huffington post, by the way!
