Hello Peter:

Our band jsut finished recording our second album and I believe that we are goign to use tunecore to get our album up on itunes. We want to get it up as soon as possible, however, we are still waiting on the album art. Can we upload the songs first to get the ball rolling and then add the art when it is ready? Just trying to get around the lapse that apple causes. Thanks!

We actually now have an art tool that lets you put up a thumbnail of your own, but it's very plain (just your band name and album on a color) and can't change later. If you're not concerned about how the thumbnail looks, use it and you can get rolling now.

Also, you only need the ONE image, basically the "front cover"--so if you have that and are waiting for others, don't let it stop you.

If you do need to wait, don't sweat it too much. Things are pretty quick these days! We get it to Apple in SIX HOURS, they've been taking about a week lately.

Hope that helps!

hey jrm
I am assuming that from what Peter said, you don't need to have a hard copy CD to get up on iTunes etc and I'm hoping that with a photo you can put a title on it and be done.

btw try to be a little more descriptive with your thread titles.:)

my company just put our first clients album up on TuneCore. Will be interested to see how it all goes. We have before used Fontana, Universal, and INgrooves to distribute our projects. It is always great to pay a small up front fee instead of having them take 15-20 percent backend.
