help needed please

i have a mate who owns a minidisc player in his car and i own an old sony nh900 recordable m/d player which i have managed to find (i havent used it for a few years due to ipod etc), i have no software and havent got a clue how to transfer cd's onto the minidiscs i also dont have the software any more so if anyone out there can help it would be appreciated
