What consumer electronics do you find reall annoying ?
For me it's cellphone rings.

Actually I posted this because there were no other thread here and I felt sorry for the mods having nothing to read.

Anything without a real power switch.

Old way: Turn the power switch off, it goes off. It's off.

New way: Ask it to go into "standby" mode. If it feels like it, it goes into "standby" and turns on the "standby light" to let you know it's in "standby". It's not off.

What's not to like about it? :-)

kim kardashian's ass

Most annoying are At&t's mobile phones. Rubbish menus, killed-off or disabled features. Junk.

STFU NOOB!

+1 they say by 2010 more than a quarter of the power used in the USA will be powering things that are in standby mode.

who is they.. that just seems retarded to me.

it is possible however, that the use of electricy will good down. - hence the % of used power to stand by thing goes up. That is more a function of higher effeceny lighting, then vampire electronics.

My VCR/DVD combo.

It was obviously made with a moron in mind who cannot be trusted to do anything for himself. So what happens is if I put a videotape in, it will start playing by itself, will rewind by itself at the end of the movie, and eject itself once rewound.

Not so bad except sometimes tapes get a little sticky. So what happens is the damned thing thinks the tape has ended and so it automatically starts rewinding the damned movie!!!!! Ive often taken a leak to find the movie I was watching is now ready to be placed back in its case. grrrr

oh, and of course it has turned itself off!!!!

Praise Be! I put a cup of water into the microwave shazam it's boiling and watch out for the superheated water when you drop a teaspoon of instant coffee it overflows your kitchen counter. Fast forward it was a dream and forgot to take the water out 2 years ago but since the grid was on forever... it was a dream and forgot to take the water out 2 hours ago but...Food is ready spake the m wave. If you're so smart why don't you say cup of water? Smart Appliances shut the fuck up.. Is this an option on the menu for the digital cooler/collar? just keep the food cool, cooler

my "Tickle Me Voltan" doll.

It marches around my bedroom flinging poo, displays its erection at inopportune times, and goes to work naked.

I've checked the good/evil switch three times, and it's set to "good." I may have to return it. :idk:

Clocks that do not retain their time during a power blackout.

I have several devices that I do not bother setting clocks anymore.

Even more annoying are devices that nag you to set their clock by flashing "12:00" all the time.

well car stereo playes a great role to make every journey very musical and delightful. car stereo installation is also not that difficult as it looks.. you just need to follow step by step instructions, color photos, wiring detail, as well as what tools ans parts you will need to do a professional installation.. so there is one source from where i buyed stereo for my car and other car accessories i.e.
car stereo (http://www.soundandalarm.com/car-stereos.asp), take a look and ENjoy!!!
Thanks,
Have a good day!!

Just cellphones and text messaging in general. I'm not a phone person to begin with, but seeing people rather text than just dial the number...

I thought about just getting rid of our phones and my wife say's she would be lost without one. What happened to the last 30 years you didn't use one?
