I love my 360, but haven't been able to play it for the last two months. Mine finally bit the dust and got the RROD ('red ring of death/doom'). I sent it in to Microsoft, waited a month, and they sent me a replacement that was DOA (the DVD tray wouldn't open. Right now I'm waiting for another box/casket to send this one back. Hopefully the next one works...

I'm definitely still an Xbox guy, but now that Super Smash Bros. Brawl is out, I definitely wouldn't mind having a Wii. I've never been a big fan of any of the playstation systems (during PS1 I played N64, during PS2 I played Xbox, and now Xbox 360). It seems that most people I know that have Wii's and 360's were really excited about the Wii at first, but now tend to play the 360's a little more.

Although I bought my 360 primarily for Halo 3, I think it is the better system overall. Not only is the online far more superior to PS3 and the Wii, but I think the 360's games take better advantage of the system's graphics capabilities.

The 360 is often subjugated to the PS3. Let's face it, we've all heard that PS3 is supposedly far more advanced by having seven processors and more power. But, those seven processors have a low efficiency and the game developers can't even take advantage of the graphics that PS3 can handle. This is because the PS3 is harder to program for and game developers don't want to spend a fortune and 10 years developing a game that can fully take advantage of the PS3's capabilities.

When xbox and PS2 were first introduced, the games were made for PS2 and then they were used as stencils for xbox games. Nowadays, it is backwards; it is the 360 games being used as stencils for the PS3 games.

So, don't fall into the PS3 hype of how powerful it is. The 360 is a great system.

That's some brand loyalty!
I'd be screaming for my money back

Considering they have a 3 year warranty for replacement from DOP, along with free XBOX Live Gold membership cards if your 360 does take a shit on you, along with scratched disk replacement for certain games, I'd say they are going above and beyond to keep their customers.

ps3 ftw if you have a hi-def tv because of its blue ray capability and the new firmware upgrade that will allow updates and such for the blue ray dvds\

all that said though the 360 has a far better catalog of actual games

360 is your best bet because

1) PS3 has virtually no games that aren't already out for other systems
2) Wii doesn't have that many games either and it does get old fast, I regret getting mine
3) 360 is just plain better in the long run (i.e. 3 year warranty, plenty of games, can play dvd's and music, plenty of downloadable content)

my 2 cents

The 360 and PS3 both ridiculous hardware capabilities, but not many games actually push them to their limit (yet). The 360 beats out the PS3 in the games category. The Wii also has fun games, a more user-friendly interface (you will hate Xbox Live), and is more reliable (both hardware-wise and online play-wise). I'd say it's a tossup between a Wii and 360, depends on which games you want to play more.

Edit: Forgot to mention, I have a Wii, but that doesn't stop me from playing with my friends' 360s when I get a chance.

for games: 360 has the best library hands down, and Live is the best online service.

if you want to get into bluray then the PS3 is one of the cheapest options, or if you are a big fan of the final fantasy or gran turismo series.

if you are a casual gamer, dont want to spend too much, and like mario/zelda then get the wii.

i have a wii, and 360. i play the 360 a lot more. and plan to get the PS3 once gran turismo is released.

im sorry thats incorrect.

Live is hands down far superior to PS3 and Wii's online offerings.

Though thats to be expected since it costs money.
