Drumstix, I just put in four bids up to $77.89- all out bid.
Just an FYI to everybody. I've noticed that on items where you see the bidders as:
m***m
T***T
o***o
and so on, it seems to me it's at least two people rigging the bidding. I maybe full of s***t, (sorry, had to do it), but EVERY item I've bid on with bidders using the three *'s, you can never get a bid in till it's pretty high. Granted $77.89 is nothing for this cymbal. But I've kept going on other items, became high bidder, and another o***o out bids me and you can't get back in until a significantly higher bid. I personally don't trust these auctions. I'm gonna watch it though. Nice cymbal and I need a new ride.

My sentiments exactly marko.

They are "rigging" the price

Bassturds.:cop::poke:

Each time I bid on it,it went higher....like automatically?

actually,

a lot of the items I bid on did...

It happened on splash cymbals,thrones,hi-hat stands,hi-hat cymbals...

you name it.

r****k,,,,,,,
m**e2,,,,,,,,

me hate... Ebay........muchly most all.

Plus there are some stupid asses on there with frigging dial up,and they have hit the "submit" button like 30 times and have 30 posts of the SAME THING>

over and over...:freak:

jeezus.

Did bid on a digital camera though,,,,nice price?

Hmmm. Its been a while since I made an ebay bid but I always assumed that those astericks where there so you could not see the person who is out bidding you. In other words, it happens on every bid. I will have to look and check.

Ya know Mike that may very well be- now. Back when I picked up a set of sticks a began this whole sick twisted addiction that I now embrace and throughly enjoy, you very seldom ever saw sigs like that w/ the asterisks.
Maybe know it's the "in thing to do. If you check the bids on the K, I'm moe4807, and the only one who doesn't have an asterisk. I maybe wrong and accusing the wrong people, but the bid rigging is real if you play close attention to it. IF there is a "Reserve not met" that's a whole different deal.

I bid on four items yesterday:
The K
two 18" FLOOR TOMS- one of which I'm winning and ends today in 7 hours
Rock-and-Sock throne w/backrest- high bidder, but haven't met the reserve.

as you guys know, people do some weird sh*t on eBay to make money, shipping being one. The dude selling the throne wants 22.00, where one of the 18" toms wants 30.00/ the other 50.00 ! I may very well again be full of sh*t, but that's a pretty drastic range, especially since I'm guessing the throne weighs the most.

When I look at the bids for the K, everyone's name has ** in it, including yours. That's why I was thinking that is just what they do now. The only time I see a full name is when they annouce the winner.

However, I don't doubt there is rigging. Its way to easy to do. You can still get good deals on things but I stay away from it or I would spend too much money. Also, as a rule, I never place a bid on a item until the last 30 seconds. IMO, you are only raising the price you end up paying.

I didn't realize that about the asterisks. Makes sense though that I then just see my name. No doubt on the rigging.
As far as bidding I throw in one and wait. If I get out bid I watch and if I really want it and it's not too high, I'll start about a minute from the close. I have a couple I'm winning now. We'll see. Later

P.S. this cymbal sold for around $260.00 or so I think. I'd just buy a new one at that rate.:cop:
