March 5, 2008 - Wednesday
On March 12, a trade show called the Musikmesse starts. It's held in Frankfurt, Germany, and is actually even bigger than the NAMM show. In addition to the more than 50 guitars we just showed at NAMM in January, we're announcing two brand new Signature Series models from artists who never had their own ESP models before, as well as five brand new guitars that are pretty amazingly cool.
But like I said, I can't tell you about those yet, but I will. I promise.
Have a rockin' day. :)
i wonder if these will be on the US website

ESP DEBUTS NEW ROOPE LATVALA AND HENKKA T. BLACKSMITH SIGNATURE MODELS
ESP Guitars is introducing two new Signature Series models at Musikmesse. Joining bandmate Alexi Laiho, guitarist Roope Latvala and bassist Henkka T. Blacksmith will have new models from LTD in their names. The LTD RL-600 guitar and LTD HTB-600 bass will be available from authorized ESP/LTD dealers.
“Both Roope and Henkka have been using ESPs for years,” says Allen Steelgrave, ESP director of marketing and artist relations. “We’re very happy to give these
innovative musicians the recognition they deserve with their own LTD signature series models.”
The Roope Latvala LTD RL-600 offers a unique star-shaped alder body with a neckthrough design at 25.5” scale. The maple thin-U neck with ebony fingerboard has custom inlays and 24 XJ frets. Black nickel hardware includes a Floyd Rose bridge and Grover tuners, with an EMG HZ H-2 pickup controlled by a single volume knob. The guitar comes in a custom light grey finish.
The LTD HTB-600 signature series bass is Henkka T. Blacksmith’s custom bass made available for the general public. Only the second signature bass from ESP (the other being by Tom Araya of Slayer), the HTB-600 features a neck-thru-body design at 34" scale. The lightweight and comfortable alder body is adjoined by the maple neck and ebony fingerboard, which has no inlays except the model name at the 12th fret (24 XJ frets total). Grover tuners and an ESP BB-604 bridge are made of black nickel, and the bass’ electronics include two EMG 35DC (bridge and neck) active pickups with EMG BQS 3-band active EQ. The bass is offered in a black finish with a “COBHC” graphic on the front.

So there are probably 2 new ESP's being released right now on the Messe, or 3 if that camo finish doesn't count as a new model. I'm really curious of what they are. I REALLY hope there finally is a V Standard, and hopefully one in white.
Does someone know more about the other ESP's on the MusikMesse?

At least now they offer the Eclipse Full Thickness in Gloss Black.
They make so many LTD's because that is their market. Entry to pro players also, but the ESP's......many of the hardcore "USA Made is better maaaaaaaaaaaaann!!!" people have not bought into them yet even though IMO they are superb. Plus Gibby kills them with making them change the USA models with the wack 3 knob and lower horn Elcipse just like they don't make the old school explorers here. I have to get em from Japan ;)

I wouldn't mind trying out one of the Carpenter 8 strings. I just wish I could get rid of my SC-607 first!!! Not much of a market for those I guess.

Sorry, no. I want to sell it. I'm getting out of the seven string realm. I have enough trouble with six strings. :thu:

If you lived in portugal, i would buy it in 2 soconds. Here that guitar costs 1200€. My biggest wich right now its to find a guitar like that for that price. It would be priceless :)
