anybody have experience with these yet? i'm confused as to when these are actually coming out...im hearing they wont be available for a lil while but i swear i saw them at guitar center! anybody got some insight?

Hey. Just got the mr-5's. Was kinda sorry I did not order the Mr-8's after going ahead with online purchase cause of the fact they were not that much more pricey.. but when the mr-5's arrived, they were how I was envisioning mr-8's to be (basically, quite a bit bigger than pics had seemed) so I was delighted.
I never owned monitors before this but my bro has. He's had a few pairs I enjoyed with him over the years including small (considerably smaller than the mr-5's) but top of the line genelecs he got last year that cost into the 4 figures for a pair.
Well, these Mackies MR-5's I have recieved from Thomann cyberstore are purely awesome sounding! When I put my keyboards through them I almost have to stop and keep back a tear at the beauty and emotional power.
The bass on these is FAT and punchy. Turned up I feel like I just took a load of drugs and was dumped in a night club with a huge audio system (my body is charged from head to toe, the bass like a parasite squirming through my body). I was not expecting this good for 144 euros a piece. These are the best speakers I have heard in my life. I was my brother still was nearby cause I would love to sit centred close to his small genelics and judge the difference with some different kinds of music. Also these mackies are certainly not fatuiging for me as I have heard people say of all kinds of monitors. I have enjoyed my prized cd collection through them for a few weeks now, hours on end each night and it is total bliss. Won't be buying that new hi-fi system I was considering anymore
