Summer Namm 08

It is so great to know that the summer Namm show will be back here in Nashville again. I am 10 minutes from the convention center and now I can enjoy the show 2 times a year again. I'll have a great vacation going to the winter show and enjoying California and I will have a nice weekend at home going to Namm. It doesn't get any better than this!
Who on this board will be at the summer show? Maybe some of us can meet up and talk equipment and exchange guitar picks, if you are a collector.:thu::cool:

what does it take to attend one of these i.e. entry fee? can i get in with a media press pass?

Is it a smaller show in the Summer version? Do most of the major companies still attend?

Yes the show is smaller, but Gibson puts on a great pre-Namm party at their custom shop. One year there was Ted Nugent, Peter Frampton, Johnny A and tons of other cool people playing.
The show is not opened to the public and I would check with Namm about the media pass. I think they have to issue them. If you know someone who owns a music store and is willing to help you out, they can get you a visitor's pass. If you are an artist with an endorsement with a company, maybe they can get you an artist pass. The show still has most of the major manufactures that are at the winter show. Fender, Marshall, Vox, Gibson, Dean Markley, Ernie Ball, Peavey, etc. :rawk:

show is in nashville, in winter, when, how to get tickets, hotel, maybe we can get bunch of people to party together afterward and get group rate on hotels, but you said you live there didn't you.

Yes I live here and the show is this summer June 20th - 22nd. Go to the Namm website for the information about what hotels are in the area, but if you plan on attending, start booking your trip now. Because the hotels are going to sell out and the longer you wait, the price's go up.:wave:
